Phase retrieval on well-exposed PC images shows that shrinkage of the OTA continues at a rate of about 0:90 0:15 m=month, close to that determined by FOC measurements. A movement of 5:0 m of the secondary mirror away from the primary is recommended for mid-January, to compensate for the shrinkage occurred since the last mirror movement on June 29, 1994. A program of focus monitoring based on phase retrieval solutions is recommended.
